I am writing to advise that I recently employed Daryl Wood of ‘Drafting Concepts’ to draft and modify a design I had supplied to him- being a large extension. The brief was for a modification of an existing 3 Car garage second story plus large 2 Level side extension adjacent to that. The home is top end located on ‘The Panorama’ at Tallai.

I would like to say that I spoke a number of drafting designers and had 3 visit my premises to quote and discus my needs. Daryl was the last one I saw and even before I met him I had probably decided to hire him for the following reasons.

First impressions – His phone manner was perfect and what came out of his mouth was complete confidence and product knowledge. He had an answer for every question I asked. When I met him at my home I gave him the go ahead after a brief discussion as I was very impressed. He is not pushy!

His fee was very competitive and indicated, as I needed the work done quickly, he will accommodate me straight away. I received 11 pages for the final Plans ready to be submitted to a Certifier.

During the process we communicated verbally and by email many times and Daryl responded very quickly and was prepared to modify The plans a few times and indeed made many suggestions, some of which I adopted.

Above all, with my bad experiences on the Gold Coast with people in the building industry, the number one reason for my acceptance of Daryl was because of his obvious honesty and professionalism.

I will be getting Daryl to do two other jobs for me in due course and most certainly recommend him to anyone- Don’t even bother with other quotes as I have done all the Homework already..
